Let's go!

Session Timetable

The routines and activities that make up the day in the pre-school setting are provided in ways that:

  • Help each child to feel that they are a valued member of the setting;
  • Ensure the safety of each child;
  • Help children to gain from the social experience of being part of a group; and
  • Provide children with opportunities to learn and help them to value learning.

We organise our sessions so that children can choose from a range of activities. The children are helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and large group activities which introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills, as well as helping them to learn to work with others(during key activity time).
Outdoor activities contribute to children’s health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them. We have a large variety of resources which are accessible already outside for the children to select themselves.

We are very fortunate that we have been able to create a natural and explorative area. Within this there is a herb garden, large mud area (great for making mud pies and mud sculptures), bug hotel, wormery as well as our mud kitchen. We have a water butt attached to the mud kitchen shelter which the children can access independently.
